A shot from the nosebleeds during the Leafs vs. Penguins game this past week. I hesitated about bringing my camera because I didnt want to get harassed by ACC security...brought it anyway...got harassed...apparently you're not allowed to bring in a lens with a focal length longer than 70mm; good thing mine was 40mm...still, one security guard found it necessary to analyze my lens and skeptically comment: "that's a big 40". I had no response, because I was so stunned by her ability to make such an observation; the power of her stare was enough to make me want to confess that I was ashamed that my 40 was so large. What a laugh...

So the jigga man descended on muchmusic last night and brought Kanye West, Teeaira Marie, Rihanna and some random guy with him that nobody outside seemed to recognize...I thought it was just some guy climbing up on the stage acting a fool and shaking hands with people.

for some reason a section of people started to boo kanye, but maybe thats because he came out and looked at the crowd like he was just disgusted with fame but he'd take it anywayz. everybody performed except for Jay-Z, which is too bad. but the streets were still packed from end to end, rented escalades with US plates were cruising the streets in anticipation of this weekends caribana festivities, and the police were out in full force. must have been a 1:1 ratio there with the reserve force they had stashed around the adelaide side. nothing like hip hop to bring out our finest...all of them.

follow the link at the side to "Paolo's Blog" to see an image from our visit down to the DVP today. we actually got to walk along it and i sat on the median during the Becel Ride for Heart. dont believe the hype about my digicam - the reality is that i lent him some of my gear; i dont think hes ever used a camera before ; )

afterwards we travelled over to Yorkville and it turned out to be a beautiful day. no celebrity sightings at sassafraz although we could have changed into paparazzi mode in a second. just pretend that this image below is jessica alba checking her nails while she lays incognito waiting for Chanel to open.
